No matter the convention, Saturdays are always the busiest day. The masses will pack the showroom floor. Hordes will line up for autographs. People will flood the panels as well, but at least you can sit down for forty-five minutes or so. Here are our recommendations for the Saturday panels at Star Wars Celebration Chicago.

Inside Fantasy Flight Games

Well, this is actually a backup. We entered in the lottery for the Bringing Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge to Life at Disney Parks. If we win, that’s where we will be. Yet, as much as I love Disney, I’m tempted to go to this panel instead. Fantasy Flight Games makes a lot of tabletop and card games. We love playing Star Wars Destiny, and this is the makers of it. All their games have been solid, so we can’t wait to see what they have in store for us.

Del Rey Books – Behind the Scenes.

Ok the 12:45-1:45 slot is like being at Jazz Fest and picking between Trombone Shorty and the Meters. Both are going to give you your money’s worth. This panel is at the same time as Star Wars Rebels Remembered featuring Dave Filoni at the Galaxy Stage. The only reason why I’m picking the Del Rey panel is that at last celebration, we attended a Rebels panel. Also, with the authors, we could get some scoops on their upcoming works. The authors featured are New Orleans’s own Claudia Grey, Timothy Zahn, Alexander Freed, Cavan Scott, and Delilah S. Dawson.

Marvel Comics Presents: Star Wars

We collect all the Marvel Star Wars comics. Yet, with all our health issues we are about a year behind on reading them. Nevertheless, I’ll be at this panel. I attended this one in 2017, and it was the best panel I attended that year. Greg Pack and Ethan Sacks will be there.

Some of the most beautiful cosplay we have ever seen has been at Star Wars Celebration. From a Mother Talzin with rotating shoulders to a complete makeup job of the unmasked Vader, these cosplays are breathtaking. From a few sneak peeks we have seen on social media, the competition this year will be fierce!

One of the smartest podcasts out there, the Fangirls Going Rogue will take the podcast stage on Saturday afternoon. Their episode on mental health and fandom is must hear episode.
