Hayden Christensen at Fan Expo New Orleans
We were already planning to attend FAN EXPO New Orleans in January. It has become one of our favorite weekends of the year. When Hayden Christensen at Fan Expo New Orleans was announced, it just added one more reason to look forward to the weekend.
If you had the chance to meet him at Star Wars Celebration or other Fan Expos, you already know how kind and genuine he is with fans. My wife and I got both a photo op and an autograph with him, and it was money so well spent. Hayden was humble, warm, and truly seemed thankful to hear what his work meant to fans. We will probably do it again in New Orleans because the experience was that good.
An Amazing Guest Lineup
The 2026 FAN EXPO New Orleans lineup is stacked. Joining Christensen will be Gates McFadden from Star Trek: The Next Generation, bringing together two of science fiction’s most beloved franchises under one roof.
“Peggy the Dog,” who plays Dogpool in Deadpool & Wolverine, will also make an appearance, with proceeds from her appearance supporting a local New Orleans charity. The lineup continues to grow with Terri Hawkes, the original English voice of Sailor Moon, and a long list of celebrity favorites including:
- Elijah Wood, Sean Astin, Dominic Monaghan, and Billy Boyd from The Lord of the Rings
- John Cena from Peacemaker and WWE. There are plenty of packages to meet the GOAT coming fresh off his last match!
- Helen Hunt, Jennifer Beals, James Marsters, Jaime Pressly, Ethan Suplee, and many more

What to Expect in 2026
The event takes place January 9–11, 2026, at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in downtown New Orleans. You can expect photo ops, autograph sessions, panel discussions, a massive show floor, and plenty of cosplay everywhere you look.
Show hours:
- Friday: 3 PM – 8 PM (Special preview at 1 PM for VIP, Ultimate, and 3-Day pass holders)
- Saturday: 10 AM – 7 PM
- Sunday: 10 AM – 5 PM
Photo ops and autographs for Hayden Christensen at Fan Expo New Orleans go on sale December 4 at 10 a.m. CT. If it’s anything like Celebration, those slots will go fast.
Why We’re Doing It Again
Meeting Hayden at Star Wars Celebration reminded me why I love attending conventions. The moments are short, but they stick with you. He took the time to greet everyone, gave real smiles for every photo, and made each fan feel seen. When you admire someone’s work for decades, that kind of interaction matters.
That is why we are planning to line up again at FAN EXPO New Orleans. There is something special about meeting the actor who brought Anakin Skywalker to life and getting to do it right here in Louisiana. It feels like coming full circle as both a fan and a local.
As teachers who also do this blog, we appreciate conventions that are well organized, easy to navigate, and welcoming to both fans and press. FAN EXPO New Orleans consistently manages all three. The staff know how to run a show, and there’s always a good mix of panels, artists, and guests.
