Some of the biggest classic sci-fi stars are joining the FAN EXPO New Orleans 2024 guest list, coming January 5-7, to the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. Any fan of Terminators, Robocops, starships, Evil Queens, and more won’t miss this convention for lovers of retro sci-fi.

Sarah Connor Returns

Linda Hamilton, famous for her iconic role as Sarah Connor in the Terminator franchise, will appear. Hamilton first brought the character of Sarah Connor to life in the 1984 sci-fi hit The Terminator before returning to reprise the role in 1991’s Terminator 2: Judgment Day and 2019’s Terminator: Dark Fate. We have met here a few times, and she is always so gracious and thrilled to be surrounded by fans. In fact, we didn’t even get her for Terminator; instead, we have a signed Beauty and the Beast photo (with Ron Perlman’s signature as well!). 

Part Man, Part Machine, All Cop

Another guest sure to excite fans is Peter Weller, best known as the title character in the 1987 cult classic RoboCop and its 1990 sequel. Weller has an extensive resume in sci-fi, including The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension and recurring roles in Star Trek: Enterprise and Fringe. Speaking of Buckaroo, does anybody know why the watermelon was there? 

The Nola Nerd Couple each has a degree in history. The Mrs. has a master’s as well. Thank God it’s not a competition because Dr. Weller has earned his Ph.D. in Italian Renaissance history. You can access his dissertation from his Wikipedia page! He has also hosted shows such as Engineering and Empire on the History Channel.

Hail to the King, Baby!

Bruce Campbell, star of the Evil Dead franchise, will also be gracing the convention with his presence. As one of the biggest Evil Dead fans around, I can’t wait to see Campbell back in the groovy saddle again!

Joining the U.S.S. Discovery

For Star Trek lovers, Sonequa Martin-Green of Star Trek: Discovery fame will be beaming down to New Orleans. Martin-Green has played the lead role of Michael Burnham on Discovery since 2017.

The Guild’s Queen of Geekdom

Felicia Day, creator and star of The Guild’s pioneering gamer web series, will also appear. Day is well-known to fans of Supernatural and Buffy the Vampire Slayer for her recurring characters.

A Villainous Return to The Enchanted Forest

Lana Parrilla, best known as the Evil Queen/Regina Mills on A.B.C.’s hit Once Upon a Time, will cast her spell on New Orleans audiences. As huge fans of Once Upon a Time at Nolanerdcouple.com, we can’t wait to see Parrilla in New Orleans! 

Ethan Suplee’s Signature is Needed

Ethan Suplee has been an actor whose autograph we have sought for a long time. The Mrs. has a Mallrats poster that is full of signatures, including Stan Lee. We absolutely geeked about his reunion with Jason Lee in New Orleans. I hope there is a panel cause I’m sure it will be amazing. 

Go Meet Classic Sci-Fi Stars at FAN EXPO New Orleans 2024!

Along with these special guests, the event will feature stars from Star Wars, Marvel, and more. Hopefully they will get more classic Sci-Fi stars at Fan Expo New Orleans.
