For the next two weeks, most of our blogs will be about Wizard World New Orleans. The Convention is held at the Morial Convention Center on January 6,7, and 8th.  This week we will be previewing the event, and next week reviewing the event. 
We enjoy everything Star Wars at Nola Nerd Couple, which is why it has it’s own category.  We love to discuss the movies, the tv shows, the comics, and the books.  Looking at the programming for Wizard World New Orleans, it looks like we are not the only ones.

Friday
6:00-6:45PM IS THIS THE “GOLDEN AGE” OF STAR WARS? (ROOM 238) We so much content being produced for the new canon, are we in the midst of a Golden Age for this fandom? Everything from Disney’s ownership to latest film, Rogue one will be discussed.
7:00-7:45PM STAR WARS PSYCHOLOGY: JEDI MIND TRICKS (ROOM 238) Star Wars raises serious issues and those are discussed when Pschologitsts Travis Langley, Janina Scarlet and professors, Eric Bailey and Sherri Craig explore the deeper layers of the franchise.
Saturday
11:30-12:15PM WRITING PLOT USING STAR WARS (ROOM 343) This panel will take the storytelling techniques used to make Star Wars and show you how to develop your own plt.
Sunday
12:30-1:15PM BECOMING CHEWBACCA, A CONversation with JOONAS SUOTAMO (ROOM 243)
1:30-2:15PM LIFE AS A WOOKIE, A CONversation with PETER MAYHEW (ROOM 243)
