That is all we know. JJ Abrams should teach our government how to keep secrets. Or maybe not, because he is pretty great at it.

The Mrs. and her sister have Jedi passes so they will be on hand to cover the event. Hopefully, they won’t be too excited and forget to help out all of us who can’t make it! (Or in my case, those who refuse to camp out anymore because we are old).

More Guests Announcements

Star Wars Celebration keeps adding to their lineup. The latest announcements are:

  • Forrest Whittaker: Saw Gerrera in Rogue One and Rebels
  • Katee Sackhoff: Bo-Katan in The Clone Wars and Rebels
  • Lee Towersey: Droid Builder, R2 in the Sequal Trilogy
  • Josh Lee: Droid Builder, K-2SO and BB-8
  • Matt Denton: Electronic Design for Rogue One and TFA
  • Hugh Quarshie: Captain Panaka in The Phantom Menace
  • Bobby Moynihan: Orka in Resistance
  • Annabelle Davis: Thromba in The Force Awakens
  • Penny McCarthy: Catina Creature Performer in A New Hope
  • Lorne Peterson: Legendary Visual Effects (model builder and model supervisor) for ILM

Also, previously announced Celebration Stage host Warwick Davis will also be signing and doing autographs.

Joint Exhibit

In a first for Celebration, droid builders and costuming groups have united to create an “interactive fan experience.” Groups include The 501st Legion, Rebel Legion, Mandalorian Mercs, The Dark Empire, Saber Guild, Droid Builders, and the Galactic Academy.

The exhibit will be in one location. Not only will these groups demonstrate what each group does, but they will also have interactive games. Also, these groups all include charity work in their missions so they will promote that as well.

Battle of Scarif

There will be a diorama builders workshop sponsored by Fantasy Flight Games that will center on the Battle of Scarif. Participation is free of charge, and you can bring your build home. At the center will be a 30 x 36 Scarif Diorama.

About Star Wars Celebration

Star Wars Celebration will occur April 11-15, 2019 at the McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois. Star Wars Celebration is the ultimate Star Wars fandom event. Celebrity guests, authors, and crew members from the saga will be interacting with guests through panels, photo ops, or autograph opportunities. There will be Q&A sessions with various members of the saga. Also, plenty of fan lead discussions and cosplay contests will take place. Also, there will be tons of rare Star Wars merchandise available.

Hope to see you there and may the force be with you!
