The Nola Nerd Baby is Growing Up Too Fast!

I’m writing this on the day that the Nola Nerd Baby turns seven months.
STOP TIME! THE NOLA NERD BABY IS GROWING UP TOO FAST!

She has doubled her birth weight plus some. She isn’t crawling yet, but she is sitting up and rolling all over the place.  She can hold her bottle, but she has trouble keeping it in her mouth, mainly because it’s a rounder bottle than most.

She babbles and coos quite a bit.  She is tall enough to walk in her walker, but she’s still not sure how to do it.

She sleeps all night and loves to eat her purees. She loves to go out in public and can now sit up in a buggy which makes shopping a lot easier.

She grabs everything she can. She is great with people, and loves to be the center of attention. She is great at daycare and at home.

I wish it was something we were doing, but I know better.  We just try to discover her needs and work to meet them. However, we are just blessed with a great baby.

And if you know me, using the word blessed is a big deal.  It’s a word that I use sparingly.  In fact, I only have used when I refer to her.

Of course, she is growing up too fast, and just I want freeze time to see her at this age for a long time.  Yet, I can’t wait to see what happens next.

As a friend says, each milestone is the best milestone ever with your child…until the next one.

I'm a husband to a woman who is nerdier than I am, and a father to a near perfect child. I am one of the main authors for this website, plus I handle most of the technical aspects (web design, editing podcasts, and videos, etc.) During the day, I'm a Computer Science and African American Studies Teacher. Most of my free time I'm listening to music or podcasts and watching soccer. I love Star Wars and Star Trek equally. I'm a horrible gamer yet I game. You can reach me at nolanerdcouple@gmail.com
