On Saturday, October 20, Bad Wolf Bar and Grill will be hosting their 4th annual Bar Con! This convention is a one day con of fun for adults and kids. There will be vendors, panels/demonstrations, and contests. General admission is $5, VIP is $10, and children under four are admitted for free. Bad Wolf Bar and Grill is on 2010 O’Connor Street in Gretna.
They will have shows including Klingon Self-Defense, LarPWorks, Sensuous Sisters of Zeltros, and a Lightsaber demo. There will also be cosplay contests – one for kids 17 and under and one for adults.
For gamers, there will be a Magic: The Gathering tournament, a Warhammer tournament, and make sure you bring your Pokemon deck.
There is an after party as well that will begin at 8:30 pm.
Here are more specifics about the events including times:
We do plan on attending and even have a babysitter lined up so we can enjoy an adult beverage or two (and that Weeping Angel Burger). Our camera is charged and our Zoom microphone is ready to go. However, Mrs. Nola Nerd Couple’s recent surgery has not resulted in a change in her symptoms. We were hoping it was an answer, and there was every reason to take out the gallbladder, but all the symptoms she was exhibiting are still there. We are having more tests run today. If she feels up for it, we will go even if it is for a small amount of time. If she can’t, we will have to miss out.
However, if you go, let us know how it was, and we will see you there next year!!!!
