More Celebration Guests Announced
Star Wars Celebration has announced more guests for Chicago. Making his Celebration debut, Joonas Suotamo will be meeting guests at the convention. We met him in New Orleans and his a) extremely tall, b) extremely nice and c) extremely tall. The ex-Penn State basketball player has taken over hte role of Chewbacca in the saga.
Joining him is the impossibly handsome and talented Sam Witwer. Seriously, the guy looks like he was designed by Michealngelo. He has voiced Darth Maul in the animated shows and his knowledge of Star Wars is formidable.
Greg Grunberg, Snap Wexley from The Force Awakens, will be at Celebration. He is long time collaborator with JJ Abrams appearing in almost every vehicle the director has made. The next guest is puppeteer Dave Chapman who worked with BB-8, Riod Durant, and Lady Proxima. Veteran voice actor Greg Proops will be joining them. He has done work on Resistance and The Phantom Menace. Orli Shoshan , who portrayed Shaak Ti in Episodes II and III, will also be there.
Paul Kasey is a master actor who is often disguised by amazing make up. He has played Admiral Raddus in Rogue One and Ello Asty in The Force Awakens. He also has played tons of characters in one of our other favorite fandoms, Doctor Who. Another actor from one of our favorite fandoms will be there. Ian McElhinney (Sir Barristan Selmy in Game of Thrones) portrayed General Dodonna in Rogue One.
Star Wars Celebration Poster Revealed
For some fans, collecting the Star Wars Celebration Poster is a must. This year’s poster separates the Light side from the dark side with a lightsaber at the middle. Well, mainly. Padme (as Queen) and Yoda are in the middle.
