Hey guys!

Long time no write. It’s been a long time. It’s been a challenging time.

We finally made our house whole after Hurricane Ida. Our house has a new roof, siding, ceiling, and floors.

We have had one family beat cancer only to have another family member diagnosed with brain cancer. If you can please contribute to their GoFundMe here.

Oh, and while our brother-in-law and Ms. Nola Nerd Couple’s sister are at MD Anderson, we are looking after their kids. Our family of three is now a temporary family of five.

We are exhausted.

This meant we had to give up a lot of our nerdy life. Dealing with contractors, field adjustors, and desk adjustors became a second full-time job. Our real place of employment was badly damaged causing us to go to work at a different location.

I’m not talking about just doing this website. We haven’t really done many nerdy things since Hurricane Ida and Covid. We were planning to go to Pensacon last spring, but a contractor could only meet with us that Saturday.

In other words, the heyday of this site may be gone. We will cover things we attend, but to try and produce content daily or even weekly is a fool’s errand.

That doesn’t mean the website is gone. It will stick around basically as we can afford it.

But, lately, life keeps getting the way. But, you know, that’s ok.
