Keeping up with Star Wars Celebration

More Guests Announced!

Last week, I started to write an update to Celebration. During the middle of it, I had to bend over in pain. A hernia has made an appearance. This has made it hard keeping up with Star Wars Celebration. In fact, I said I was taking off until Thursday, but as soon as I got home from work I couldn’t stop myself from writing this post.

Last week, Celebration announced some great guests that include:

  • Jason Isaacs
  • Peter Mayhew
  • Catherine Tabor
  • Dee Bradley Baker
  • Donald Faison
  • Myrna Velasco
  • Tom Kane
  • Temuera Morrison
  • Michael Pennington

We have never Jason Isaacs and Donald Faison. We are glad to rectify meeting them at celebration. And with both, we will probably get two — one for Star Wars. For Isaacs, we need a Harry Potter as well. And for Mr. Faison, we would really like one from Scrubs (Eagle!).

Tabor, Baker, and Kane are some of our favorite guests, and we can’t wait to meet them again. I’m hoping for a large The Clone Wars panel…so here’s to hoping that Matt Lanter joins soon!

If you get a chance to meet Temuera Morrison do so. We got him to sign two things as the last Celebration. One was a three Fetts poster. The other made his face light up. It was a picture of Chief Tui from Moana. Remember, if you want guests to sign non-Star Wars items, you will probably have to bring them.

Of course, Peter Mayhew is always a delight at a con. He has slowed down over the years, but his wit is still razor sharp. Expect direct answers at his panel.

Ms. Velasco is a member of Star Wars Resistance. Michael Pennington is making his stateside convention debut. He portrayed Moff Tiann Jerjerrod in Return of the Jedi.

And while I was finishing this one up, another actor was announced! Ian McDermind will be at Celebration Chicago! Also announced were Brian Herring and Mark Dobson.

Tickets for Autographs and PhotoOps Go On Sale Wednesday!!!

Tickets will go on sale at 12 noon PST on Wednesday, February 13. You can check out prices for autographs and photo-ops here.

We also recommend you keep checking StarWarsAuthentics.com. This is the official site for Star Wars photographs and they will be running the autograph area.

Dates For Apperances

On Star Wars Celebration’s website, they are starting to list dates of actor appearances.

We recommend you start planning now who you would like to meet and when. You can always edit when times are announced.

So far, it looks like Joonas Suotamo, Peter Mayhew, and Sam Witwer will be there all three days. Jason Isaacs will be there Saturday and Sunday. Temurera Morrison will be there Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

Now for a Little Speculation

It looks like a lot of the Resistance cast will be there on Sunday and Monday. We expect a panel for that series on one of those days.

The Clone Wars cast appearing tend to be toward the first three days of the con, except for Dee Bradley Baker. He is there Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Since he is a huge part of The Clone Wars (he voices the clones), I wouldn’t be surprised if there is a Clone Wars panel on Saturday.

Of course, when we know more, we will post it. Thanks for choosing us to keep up with Star Wars Celebration news!
