FAN EXPO New Orleans 2025: First Look at Celebrity Guests!

Back to the Future 40th Anniversary Reunion

The cornerstone of this FAN EXPO New Orleans 2025 First Look is undoubtedly the Back to the Future cast reunion. Celebrating the film’s 40th anniversary, this gathering brings together the core quartet that made the time-traveling adventure a cultural phenomenon. Michael J. Fox, who portrayed the iconic Marty McFly, will be joined by Christopher Lloyd, the eccentric Dr. Emmett “Doc” Brown. Lea Thompson, who played Marty’s mother Lorraine, and Thomas F. Wilson, known for his memorable role as Biff Tannen, round out this stellar lineup.

Fans can look forward to reliving the magic of Hill Valley across three decades, from 1955 to 1985 and beyond. This reunion promises to be a nostalgic journey, offering insights into the making of the beloved trilogy and its enduring impact on pop culture.

Doctor Who’s Thirteenth Doctor

n an exciting addition to the FAN EXPO New Orleans 2025 First Look, Jodie Whittaker, the Thirteenth Doctor from the long-running British sci-fi series Doctor Who, has been confirmed as a guest. Whittaker made history as the first woman to play the titular role in the show’s 60-year run. Her tenure as the Doctor from 2017 to 2022 brought fresh energy and new perspectives to the beloved character.

Whittaker’s presence at the expo offers fans a unique opportunity to delve into the world of the Time Lord, discussing everything from the challenges of taking on such an iconic role to her favorite moments traversing time and space in the TARDIS. This appearance is sure to be a highlight for Whovians and sci-fi enthusiasts alike. I know we are excited as we have met every doctor from 5 on except Mrs. Nola Nerd’s favorite one: The Ninth Doctor! (hint, hint, Fan Expo if you are reading this)

Alan Tudyk: From Firefly to Disney

The versatile Alan Tudyk is another exciting addition in this FAN EXPO New Orleans 2025 First Look. Tudyk’s career spans an impressive range of beloved franchises and characters. Many fans know him as the lovable pilot Hoban “Wash” Washburne from the cult classic series Firefly and its film sequel Serenity. However, Tudyk’s talents extend far beyond the cockpit of a spaceship. He has become a staple in the world of voice acting, particularly in Disney productions. His vocal performances include the rooster Heihei in Moana, the villainous King Candy in Wreck-It Ralph, and the security droid K-2SO in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

Tudyk’s presence at the expo offers fans a chance to explore his diverse career, from his live-action roles to his extensive voice work. Whether you’re a fan of his sci-fi performances or his animated characters, Tudyk’s appearance promises engaging stories and insights into the world of acting across various mediums. Our little one is super excited about meeting him as she now understands how voice acting works. We waited for four hours to meet Tom Kenney this summer (well Dad did), but she still talks about it so it was worth it. I’m sure Mr. Tudyk will be as exciting for her.

Smallville Stars and Voice Actors

Rounding out this first look are Smallville stars Tom Welling, Michael Rosenbaum, and Kristin Kreuk. Voice actors from the animated series Hazbin Hotel, including Elsie Lovelock, Amir Talai, and Keith David, are also part of this initial guest announcement.
