Fan Expo New Orleans 2024: Get Your Geek On at the Biggest Pop Culture Convention in New Orleans

Fan Expo New Orleans 2024 is returning January 5-7, 2024 for the ultimate pop culture experience. This annual event held at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center draws thousands of fans of sci-fi, horror, anime, gaming, and more.

Originally called Wizard World New Orleans when it started in 2011, Fan Expo New Orleans 2024 has featured huge names like Stan Lee, Chris Evans, Jason Momoa, William Shatner, Gillian Anderson, and many other A-list celebrities over the years. The 2024 event gives attendees the chance to meet their idols with photo ops, autographs, and intimate panels. We have been long-time attendees to the WizardWorld/Fan Expo including events in cities like Philadelphia and Dallas.

Early guest announcements for Fan Expo New Orleans 2024 include Vincent D’Onofrio and Charlie Cox from Netflix’s Daredevil series. As huge fans, we are thrilled to potentially meet these talented actors behind some of our favorite Marvel characters at the convention. D’Onofrio was chilling as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, and we can’t wait to hear behind-the-scenes stories. Mrs. NolaNerdCouple also adores the movie Stardust which Charlie Cox was the star. We can’t wait to meet them. In fact, we are thinking hard about the photo op with this combo!

Beyond the stars, Fan Expo New Orleans 2024 offers awesome experiences like Sketch Duels, how-to workshops, and tons of cosplay. Wandering the massive vendor floor and artist alley is a shopper’s heaven for pop culture treasures and handmade goods.

Our daughter will likely cosplay as Wednesday Addams or Audrey from Descendants this year. She always has a blast dressing up and seeing all the creative costumes. We can’t wait to explore everything together as a family. If your child is an extravert like ours, attending Fan Expo is such a treat. She loves seeing people dressed up, asking for pictures, and of course, getting her own picture taken.
