At Nola Nerd Couple, we are two teachers and one energetic child from Louisiana who love Disney, family travel, and fandom. This site began as a way to record our adventures and share what we learn. It remains a personal, family-run project focused on storytelling, education, and community engagement.
1. Our Purpose and Status
- We are not a travel agency, not affiliated with Disney Vacation Club, and not involved with any DVC resale or travel company.
- We are not associated with The Walt Disney Company, Disney Experiences, Lucasfilm, Star Wars Celebration, Fan Expo, or any related affiliates.
- We have no corporate or business relationship with any of the organizations mentioned above.
- The Nola Nerd Couple blog is considered a commercial website only because it displays limited ads intended to offset operational costs.
- Currently, we do not have any affiliate links on our site.
- We are not a registered business and do not operate for profit.
Any revenue received in the future will be used solely to cover domain fees, web hosting, creative tool subscriptions, equipment upkeep, or partial travel expenses related to content creation. Our main goal is to share stories, store memories, and celebrate topics we love, not to earn income.
2. Original Writing and Commentary
All writing on this site is original. We create posts, reviews, and travel diaries about:
- Disney Parks and DVC ownership
- Family travel and teaching connections
- Convention coverage and fandom experiences
- Reviews or analyses of books, movies, and television shows such as Andor
Our reviews and editorials qualify as commentary and criticism under fair‑use protections. When referring to creative works, we may include brief quotations or officially released promotional images to provide context for discussion.
We never accept payment for opinions unless a post is clearly marked as sponsored. If we receive free entry to an event, we will do our best to ensure transparency about it.
3. Our Photography
Most images are our own, showing family travel, conventions, and everyday life. Some photos include our daughter, who currently enjoys being part of this project. If she ever decides she no longer wishes to appear, we will honor that choice and remove or replace photos as needed.

4. Disney and Disney Vacation Club Material
We discuss Disney Parks and DVC because those experiences are meaningful to us. We applied for official media access in November 2025 through the Disney Experiences Press Room and are awaiting confirmation.
Until we receive formal permission, any Disney-related images are used only under fair-use principles for commentary or educational purposes. We are not licensed, sponsored, or affiliated with Disney, DVC, or any resale company.
If requested, we will promptly remove any material.
5. Reviews and Pop‑Culture Coverage
We occasionally review television shows, movies, games, and other forms of entertainment. These reviews are written under the legal principle of fair use for criticism and commentary. When official stills or promotional images are used, they are credited to the relevant studio or distributor and shown only at a size appropriate for reference.
We are not affiliated with any studio, network, or streaming platform.
6. Fan Convention and Media Coverage
We attend conventions such as Fan Expo New Orleans, GalaxyCon, and Star Wars Celebration as credentialed media when permitted, and we follow all event photo and interview policies.
We are not affiliated with these conventions or their parent companies. We have received media credentials for them, but as ourselves, Nolanerdcouple.com.
7. Stock and Creative Commons Images
When additional visuals are needed, we use only royalty‑free or Creative Commons photos clearly marked for commercial use from:

8. Older Posts and Legacy Images
Some of our earliest blog posts were created before we established a consistent image policy or began running ads. In those early days, we sometimes used photos or graphics found online without detailed source information.
We are currently reviewing and updating older posts to ensure every image meets proper licensing or fair‑use standards. However, we are a two-person operation and are full-time educators in a public high school. This means the process is slow.
If you recognize an image that should be credited, replaced, or removed, please get in touch with us and we will correct it promptly. This process reflects our ongoing commitment to respecting creators and upholding ethical content standards across our entire archive.
9. Reader and Guest Contributions
Occasionally readers or fellow fans share photos or stories. We post them only with written consent and proper credit:

10. Graphics and Original Design
Infographics, charts, and printable planners are our original creations, designed using Canva or Adobe Express.
11. Advertising and Monetization
Our site contains limited advertisements and may eventually include affiliate links (none are currently active as of November 2025). These tools help cover necessary expenses such as web hosting, domain renewal, creative subscriptions, and occasional travel costs.
Because ads are present, the site is technically commercial. However, we are not a registered business and do not pursue profit.
To date, Nola Nerd Couple has not earned any income from ads or affiliates. Should revenue occur, it will be directed entirely toward maintaining the website and funding content creation. Any sponsored post or gifted material will be clearly labeled at the top of its article.
