Guest Stint on Who Dat Jedi Podcast
Recently, I’ve been searching for podcasts to listen to. I’ve been listening to all about my job recently. I really hadn’t done any nerdy podcasts, and I really hadn’t listened to any Star Wars podcasts since 2019/2020. I really needed something to remind me how awesome podcasts about the saga are.
Well, the fates intervened.
The Who Dat Jedi Podcast welcomed me as a guest on their podcast. It had been a long time since I had done a podcast (now defunct), so I was a little worried that I wouldn’t know what to do or what to say. But as Mrs likes to say, I love to talk.
I totally had a blast. I shared our Star Wars story, our New Orleans story, and a lot of thoughts on the saga. If you haven’t checked out the Who Dat JediPodcast, you really should. Aaron, Fredo, and David are great hosts with some amazing stories.
You can listen to the podcast here or wherever you listen to podcasts.
Getting ready for the podcast was the first time that I had listened to Star Wars podcasts. I had to skip around a few for the Who Dat Jedi podcast because we have yet to start the Bad Batch, but the ones that I did listen to made me itch for more.
My Favorite Star Wars Podcasts
If you’re a Star Wars fan like me, you’ll know that there’s no shortage of amazing Star Wars podcasts out there. Whether you’re looking for deep-dive discussions, fun banter, or unique perspectives, these podcasts add a lot of joy to any fan’s galaxy. Here are some of my favorite Star Wars podcasts that I highly recommend adding to your queue.
Skytalkers
Skytalkers continues to produce fantastic content that dives into Star Wars from all angles. Their thoughtful discussions and engaging episodes make it one of the best Star Wars podcasts out there. It’s a must-listen for fans who want a mix of analysis and fun.
Star Wars Explained
My favorite Star Wars YouTube channel, Star Wars Explained, also offers an audio-only version of its video content. Whether you’re into lore, theories, or breakdowns, this podcast is a fantastic way to keep up with the Star Wars universe.
Coffee with Kenobi
Coffee with Kenobi is an insightful Star Wars podcast hosted by Dan Zehr. As an educator, Dan brings a unique perspective to his discussions, blending his love for Star Wars with teaching. It’s a refreshing and thoughtful listen for fans of all kinds.
Force Toast: A Star Wars Happy Hour
Force Toast is hosted by two Star Wars-obsessed women, Alyce and Laura. They bring humor, wit, and a bit of wine-induced fun to their bi-weekly episodes. From the latest news to deep dives into Star Wars books and films, this podcast is both informative and hilarious. We got to meet Alyce at Star Wars Celebration 2019, and that was one of the highlights of the trip, as I am a big fan of this podcast.
However, it isn’t always the best show to listen to in the car with the little one, which is another reason why I love this one.
Star Wars in Character
Star Wars in Character explores the galaxy far, far away by diving into the stories of lesser-known characters. I first discovered this podcast at Star Wars Celebration in 2017, and it was one of the most entertaining panels I attended. Their unique approach and humor make it a standout.
The WhoDatJedi Podcast
The WhoDatJedi Podcast blends Star Wars fandom with a local New Orleans flair. It’s a great mix of Star Wars discussions and community, making it a unique and fun addition to any fan’s lineup. Their podcast on Andor Being the Most Feminist Star Wars We Have Ever Had was one of the most thoughtful podcast discussions I’ve listened to in a long time.
Why I Love Star Wars Podcasts
One of the best things about Star Wars podcasts is how diverse they are. Each one brings something different to the table, whether it’s news, analysis, humor, or niche topics. The creativity and dedication of the Star Wars podcasting community never fail to amaze me.
With so many great podcasts out there, it’s hard to keep up with them all. But these are just a few of my favorites that I keep returning to. Whether you’re a lifelong fan or new to the franchise, there’s something here for everyone.
