Wizard World New Orleans:  Unfortunately, Dan Slott and Rachel Stott had to cancel. Mr. Slott is the writer for the Silver Surfer and Spiderman presently.  Silver Surfer is a fun comic that takes quite a few clues from Doctor Who.  It’s one of my must read Marvel Comics.  He will, however, be at Orlando MegaCon later in the year according to his twitter, so we still might be able to meet him. New Orleans did add Tom Wilson who potrayed Biff Tannen in the Back to the Future films.  Christopher Lloyd is already appearing so that will make a great photo op/autograph. David Duchovny will also be in New Orleans for Wizard World.  This is exciting for me because their will be quite a few X-Files people at Pensacon so I’m thinking about getting a poster. Howard Chaykin, a comic book writer and artist, will also be at New Orleans.  We met him at Philadelphia and he was so entertaining, I’m going buy something from him just to have an excuse to talk to him again. And even though I’ve written about Sam Humphries before, I just started reading his Citizen Jack comic.  It’s the story of a man who has no business running for office who makes a deal with a demon and runs for president as an every man.  I’ve only read the first issue, but I’m hooked and can’t wait to have him sign it.
Pensacon: Pensacon has been added guests since our previous write-ups.  Glennellen Aderson and Caleb McLaughlin will be signing autographs and will probably have long lines because of the success of their show Stranger Things. Sean Maher of Firefly and the DC comics animated universe will be making an appearance. Texas Chainsaw Massacre’s grandpa, John Dugan, will be at Pensacon this year for horror fans. Judith Hoag, the April O’Neil of the 1990 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles films, will be there for the legion of TMNT fans. Butch Patrick of the Munsters will be at Pensacon as will the Munster Koach and Dragula.   Finally, Verne Troyer will be in Pensacola!  I know Mrs. Nola Nerd Couple will be getting a Harry Potter autograph. Penscaon also added a slew of autors and artists such as: Steve Scott, Christopher Burdett, Matt Frank, Frank Beddor, Doug Sneyd, Kevin J. Anderson, and Neo Edmund.
