ComicCon-ing: Louisiana Comic Con Update

The Louisiana Comic Con in Lafayette will be here soon.  Lafayette is a great town and this con is shaping up to be an excellent one.

A few guests have been added since our last update on the con:

  • Michael Biehn: Chances are very favorable that Mr. Biehn is in at least one movie you love.  How could he not with credits such The Fan, The Terminator, Aliens, The Abyss, Navy Seals, K2, The rock, and Tombstone. I have his autograph for The Terminator and the Abyss, and really want one for Aliens.
  • David Ankrum: Mr. Ankrum was the voice actor for Wedge Antilles in Star Wars: A New Hope. If I’m not mistaken he was the first person to sign our Rogue One poster.
  • John Morton: Mr. Morton is a must get for Star Wars fans. He played Dak Ralter, Luke’s gunner during the Battle of Hoth. He also plays Boba Fett in the scene in Empire where Fett tells Vader that “He’s no good to me dead.” A lot of people get Jeremy Bulloch to sign that picture even though it is actually Mr. Morton. As longtime readers know, we collect Star Wars autographs of almost everyone that is involved in the saga, whether it’s the movies, television, novels, or comics.  We haven’t met Mr. Morton yet, and we are looking forward to it!
  • Haiden Hazard: The award winning cosplayer will be in Lafayette.

If you get a chance, visit the con’s Facebook page. Much like the great Pensacon, the media staff for Louisiana Comic Con does a great job of promoting their show.  One thing they are doing there, that I haven’t seen before, is doing vendor spotlights. This is a great idea and gives you an idea of the type of merchandise that will be there.

We can’t wait for September 16-17.
